Same, my dog needs to be able to check on things and come back to snuggle at her discretion. Also in the winter I get to heat my home with a wood stove in the living room, my bedroom door is less than 10ft from the stove and nothing beats wood heat for comfort and ambiance in the winter. If I have a house guest who’s not sleeping with me, the occasional friend on the couch, I close my bedroom door otherwise it’s always open.
