The national debt has been a trick used by Republicans for decades. Every time they have control of the budget they increase the debt. Then, when Democrats are in control, they reduce the debt. The national debt is just another shiny thing Republicans use to frighten suburban women. Just like they use the threat of having black people moving to the suburbs.
