Sadly, I have seen headlines about fast food places realizing that they have priced themselves out of the market, but instead of lowering their prices they are offering coupons/deals through their apps. They apps probably allow them to make money off of data mining on you. The deals probably only reduce price gouging to slightly higher than reasonable prices. My guess is that the various fast food corporations want to see if sales/coupons/deals are enough to get business back to higher levels before they resort to lowering their prices back down. I guess the silver lining is that they will encourage people to learn to cook again and maybe some business will be permanently lost when people see that cooking for themselves isn’t that bad.
