I know it’s simple just stop doing it but what if I can’t You can, you just tell yourself you can’t to avoid the discomfort of changing a habit. Get focused on your life, that will help you lose interest in those people. Take a class, start a hobby, get into reading up on a subject, volunteer, join a club, go out and socialize, etc. Maybe talking it out with a therapist or someone who is a good listener.
