It strikes me that OP has never used a rideshare service. As someone who has, frequently, for more than a decade (oh I also drove for Uber for close to a year) I can attest that less than one handful of drivers I have ever encountered ever made me feel less than completely safe in their vehicles. That same handful of drivers are the only ones who have come remotely close to driving aggressively or impatiently or dangerously in any sense. Im talking five or six drivers over the course of hundreds of rides in different cities around the country. Its not the rideshare folks. Its literally everyone else.
