I used to go to a church with a kid (haven’t seen him in a bit) who lived in Arlington Heights, and worked for FWISD. He’d regularly tell me his main thing was to send truancy emails to parents, often unreturned. I think he told me once that was a 72K job. That’s where “more money” seems to go, I think. Not really to classrooms. And don’t get me wrong — he was a nice dude. I liked him in our brief interactions. I just question whether that’s a 72K job, since you can automate most of that right now.
