That person would never win the democratic primary, so its a moot point. But for entertainment purposes, lets say they did, hypothetically. I think at that point, they are too similar and lack any meaningful difference. For all intents and purposes, they hold the exact same values, the exact same policy positions, at that point a 1% difference has no real meaningful impact. But vote Blue works off the assumption that the democratic primary is going to choose some democratic candidate with at least some progressive values, which will objectively make them a better candidate than Trump or anyone else in the GOP if you hold leftist views. That candidate may be Newsom, Harris, Waltz, Michelle Obama, AOC, Jeffries, Buttigieg etc. All these candidates have flaws. Some more than others. But at the end of the day, every single one would be miles better than what we are getting now. What Vote Blue is about, is acknowledging that whosoever the democrat voters end up choosing in the primary, we need to band together and win it in the general election. By all means, make your case in the primary, and fight for who you think is best. But if they lose, they lose. You try again next time but you dont sit on your hands, unless you truly believe that their flaw, like Newsom thinking trans athletes shouldnt be in normal sports, is the same or worse as everything Trump and GOP is doing to this country and her people right now.
