Its not simply because he said 9 rather than 8. Thats silly. Its because hes completely misrepresenting the subject on purpose in order to mislead people. He also just doesnt understand or respect the necessity for interest rates, and the necessity for an independent fed to do its job uninhibited by political pressure.  Additionally, since when does Trump give a flying fuck what the EU does? Suppose the EU has instead raised rates 9 times over the recent time period; you think hed be advocating for the US to raise rates and follow in their steps then? Absolutely not.
