In order to send someone to a prison, which is albeit not the norm for things like this, there should be a trial. Its one thing to deport people to their home country. Another thing entirely to send illegal immigrants to a life sentence in a notorious facility which operates under a foreign government and therefore the US has zero oversight over. And all without any due process at all. We are at a moment where an administrative error is going to send a US citizen to El Salvador and MAGA will just make a bunch of shit up about that person to justify never bringing them back. However doing this to anyone, citizen or not, or morally, ethically, and legally wrong.
In a post titled:
Trump: "The courts have all of the sudden, out of nowhere, they said, 'maybe you have to have trials.' Trials. We're gonna have 5 million trials? It doesn't work. You wouldn't have a country left."
