Similar vein: virtually every true Republican I know has no faith in Bo French or most of the county “leadership.” They know one decent candidate who’s slightly left of center, or slightly right of center but believes 1-2 liberal things, can win here pretty easily.

Schatzline is a state rep for District 93. He is pretty MAGA-y and is currently in some odd war with the Legislature about RINOs. Carlos was a writer for the Dallas Express who is very similar in a lot of viewpoints to Nate (so the job pairing makes sense), but has been criticized a lot for his writing and even possibly sued. I’m not sure on that second part, but have heard that.
