Similar vein: virtually every true Republican I know has no faith in Bo French or most of the county “leadership.” They know one decent candidate who’s slightly left of center, or slightly right of center but believes 1-2 liberal things, can win here pretty easily.

I actually dont mind it. The downtown ones are nice and funny and I respect that I could be five months from that at any time. The problem is that this area is prime the libs did this territory, when city has been run by GOP for about 2.5 decades. And yea, Parker is a RINO Chardonnay mom. Totally get it. But she aint pushing homelessness either. Its a tough situation we all find ourselves in.

I got one a few blocks from me been sitting for 7 months. I went in there twice as a nosy little turd. One time, a pregnant lady came in on the phone. The agent was in the kitchen. Guess the woman was talking to her husband. She says: oh god no absolutely not then smiles at the agent and walks out. lol

I agree there are elements of racism to both sides of this discussion. I guess in this specific instance, the fact that Bo regularly shoves his overt tendencies towards dehumanization of others down our collective throats, when most people in Tarrant (including Republicans) are trying to get by and have a nice life during their time on Earth, I guess I let that part of it get the better of me before I posted it. It’s not exactly the best look, but I do think there are a lot of reflections here re: privilege and what people see when they look at others. Hopefully that kinda clears this up a little. If you were triggered, I apologize.

I know about six couples who are underwater right now. What’s interesting and very logical, but somehow no one discusses it openly for some reason, is that some of them have, say, two kids … and they want 3-4. But they can’t get to a place in terms of domicile where four kids would be logical vis-a-vis the current market. Sooo… they might end up at two kids (which is NOT replacement rate) instead of 4 (which would be). See how housing macroeconomics can stagnate society a bit 20-30 years downstream?
