I’m also not comfortable with open carrying and look at folks who with questionable disdain BUT in the woods, on the trail, around the ranch I’m totally fine with and really enjoy sporting six-shooter in a leather holster. It feels natural and it’s not like open carrying in a public space, it strikes an older chord. Take that as you will but having a revolver while out in nature feels way more natural than conceal carrying. I’ll add that if I’m going to a public hiking spot, yes I have my ccw not my revolver. It really depends on how public the space is.

Dude, no shit. I’ll never forget when my father started buying records; ELO, Alan Parson’s Project, Supertramp: Breakfast in America, Genesis: Abacab and Bob Marley: Uprising almost every fucking day when he came home from work playing the same records. I hated them all for longest time, then got to appreciate Marley in my later teen years. Never forgave Genesis and hated everything Phil Collins ever did.

We smoked weed and cigarettes and drank Bush beer, $4 a 12 pack. We would drive around smoking and rocking out, go to concerts for $12-$15 a ticket and use paper maps to figure out how to get places if we didn’t already write down the directions or got lost. To be clear it was weed not cannabis and we would get in big fuckin trouble when busted for it. Music was analog back then, parents had stereos with record players and Dolby sound was high tech. The cars passed down from our parents had 8-track players and radio. Took over my mother’s cassette tapes, favorite was John Denver Rocky Mountain High on side A, side B Pink Floyd Meddle. I found my father’s reel-to-reel player and box of “acid-rock” in the basement and we glorified the 60s wishing for the free-love hippy days. The music was really bad, awful stuff and another reason we (counter-culture) glorified the 60s, went punk rock or full on metalhead. Across the board the consensus was Disco sucks, even though it was fucking amazing. The fashion was hilarious with stores like Chess King in the mall representing peak 80s style. HS was segmented just like the movie Breakfast Club; preps, burnouts, nerds, jocks and punks. AIDS scared tf out of us as did nuclear war, The Day After. edit for more detail: I was the one selling you weed by the quarter ($40) or eighth ($25) as well as black beauties (mail order caffeine pills). My parents got divorced, drunk driving was killing friends and my mother opened our home to party at and keep us kids off the roads, other parents either appreciated or hated us.

Almost everything by Adrian Tchaikovsky, specifically the trilogies Children of Time, Dogs of War, Final Architecture; stand alone novels Shroud, Cage of Souls and Alien Clay and the novellas Ogres, Elder Race and Saturation Point. The man is prolific af and his concepts are absolutely original, sometimes mind-blowing, always thought-provoking. Since we’re dating 2012 The Expanse is top tier, bar none and their new series The Captives War is awesome as well.

I don’t know sometimes it’s worth pushing through. I hate-watched Foundation first 2 seasons because I’m a huge sci-fi fan and there wasn’t anything else to hit my fix. I’m actually finally into it this season. Same with Invasion, it’s really bad. It’s been bad through first two seasons but again, need my fix. Watched e1S3 last night and it entertained me, even though I’ve already decided as a production it sucks. Sometimes we’re just addicted and a bad fix is better than no fix.

Yep, same. I checked it out when first aired and noped after e1. When I saw the fanbase light up getting Amazon to pick it up I checked out the first book. I think book publication was to about book 6 when I jumped in and seasons were on s3. After reading book one I was hooked on all of it.

Exact same, extra library with guest bed and writing desk. I have a real fireplace in living room, no guitars.

Yes this is basic. I’ll add that non-stick pan OP buys every few years is poisoning him as well as anyone they’re feeding. And cast-iron used correctly IS non-stick.
