I’m living alone and have a small riverfront homestead with multiple gardens and orchards and I love it. Over the years I’ve learned to dial in the gardens to best suit my needs (not too much or not enough) and anytime I have extra veggies they usually go my chickens. It’s perfect, healthy and super fun. I usually let the seasons and the gardens dictate my eating habits, it makes life super easy and fulfilling.

54m here who lives alone and had my RTKR on May 8. I had a friend stay with me the first 4 days and was able to shower, change all my clothes and get on and off the bed and couch by myself on 3rd day. I pretty much did it all by myself. I’ve got a small homestead and needed help with my gardens and chickens and walking my dog the first week and been on my own since then. I prepped all my meals, coffee and refilled my water bottles, got icepacks and everything I needed on day after the surgery. One thing that made it easier for me was attaching a basket / bag to the front of my walker to carry all my stuff. I used the walker until day 5, and used a cane for the 2 weeks after that. Being only 44 I’m guessing you had an athletic past, which in my experience makes the recovery so much easier than people needing the TKR due to being overweight or being elderly and the knee just being worn out. You are fine OP. See if you can get a friend to help the first few days. I spread the needs between a friend and my neighbors who I have great relations with. Good luck OP, you got this.

Not as much a concern but still, yes it is something to consider. They know who I am and that I am armed. They likely can use the registration database and compile a list of my registered firearms. Having a family pic, with all mods and upgrades, just hands it to them on a platter. Using AI tools it would be easy to compile / sort users by battle ready firearms and very importantly, armor as well. Don’t make it easy, simple OpSec goes a long way.

Nice collection, but why? Why show it off for internet points or silly meaningless “karma”? Want to know why not, Palantir. Fascism, authoritarianism, the targeting of lefties who oppose the system. They’re already waging war against us. They’re not hiding it. IMO not worth the risk to reward. Palantir knows who you are, reddit is not anonymous except to muggles. Palantir can be licensed by private parties, corporations and government agencies; federal, statewide and local.

Logan’s Run was my favorite show as a kid, at least until Buck Rogers. Then they changed Twiki’s voice in 2nd season, I never got over that. At least you get a planned retirement OP, many of us are not planning per se.
