We should not be ok with the government telling people how to live their lives. I don’t care how unhealthy something is or how much you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, people should be given all the information then allowed to do as the please as long as they only affect themselves. I consider “sin taxes” to be a form of government control by disincentivizing whatever it is the government doesn’t think you should be doing. Especially since these taxes are going to be regressive in nature and affect the poor and middle class way more than anyone in the upper tax brackets. If the government needs more money so damn badly, TAX THE FUCKING RICH. Sorry OP, don’t mean to hijack your post. You shouldn’t be charged more for wanting to have some cranberry juice, even if it is “mostly sugar” (it’s not.) Everything in moderation.

Im sure thats true. But I think part of it has to do with that X-factor that Kyle talks about with Zohran. Politicians need to have the ability to think on their feet. They need to sound like they know what theyre talking about, especially with their own platform. Its not easy and we cant expect to have Zohrans all over the country. Well take some losses but hopefully many more wins.
