Democrats didn’t riot in Charlottesville, didn’t riot on January 06, aren’t arresting people for being brown, aren’t putting people in prison for being brown, didn’t suspend habeaus corpus for those people, didn’t have military parades, aren’t sending troops to American cities. Sieg Heil Mr. “Both Sides Bullshit” /u/Far-Can6139

I’m a registered democrat. I want trump in prison, not dead I didn’t invite friends over for coffee and cake, I’m not celebrating Kirk’s death. I do think he invited it into his life. Just telling the truth – many MAGAs and trump voters are fascists.

I saw the Fat Fuhrer on the news just last night. /u/Megalith70 implying dire circumstances for the fuhrer will get you fired and sent to an internment camp for POC.

The media isn’t covering most of the protests. On some social media platforms you see it. I’ve seen videos of Washington D.C. residents forming being crowds, walking forward, blocking ICE, and forcing them to retreat.

Many apathetic, ignorant, hateful, racist, propagandized, and yes, stupid people elected fat hitler.

having an opinion Kind of makes it sound like he had trivial views that did not make a large difference. That isn’t true. If his “for having an opinion” was about dairy vs nondairy icecream you would have had a point. His views and behavior were creating victims of violence.

What charge? Fat Hitler not liking him anymore? Let me guess, the Turd Reich has zero evidence.

don’t need to. I know how bad the U.S. looks to Canadians right now. I don’t blame them. I blame the easily manipulated imbeciles who voted for Hitler trump. trump has been threatening their economy and their country.

Meanwhile Latinos, including citizens and green card holders are being arrested by secret police, detained without a trial, held in concentration camps, and being exiled to foreign prisons. Seig Heil!

I’ve modded many subreddits, some large ones. I can’t agree with you. As a user you just don’t see a lot of crap that would spoil conversations that are quietly removed behind the scenes. I haven’t liked the ways I’ve been treated on some other subreddits so I get where you are coming from. I’ve been angry about it, but I haven’t resorted to childish name calling. Often the mods in those situations just aren’t willing to communicate. I have no idea what they are like as people. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of them did have unhappy lives. OTOH I have also seen many examples users saying everything with the system is wrong because it was THEIR posting that was policed.

Those are places are set up for talking about post-ban angst.

I’ve undone a lot of bans the next day when people explained their situations to me. Interestingly, a lot of people I’ve banned have never contacted me. Never said a word. That never used to the case. I would get a lot of messages, even from unapologetic people who did pretty egregious things.

I agree 100% it is a bad idea. I also think it juvenile to impugn the adulthood of anyone posting something you don’t like.

It is. If a mod reports you to Reddit for ban evasion your account gets suspended.

No. I am a bit of a health nut, but I don’t like the idea of telling other adults what to do. I would much rather end government ( US ) subsidies to animal product producers and maybe even corn & wheat producers as most of what is produced is for livestock. I think doing that will let the price of meat and junk food go up. Maybe subsidize produce producers to help lower the prices for that.

She was semi-retired and spending all her time online, but I thought she had friends that she could speak to. Inculcation. There is a documentary “The Brainwashing Of My Dad” about a guy who was loved by all in his life. He had to drive a lot for work. He started listening to right wing talk radio as that is all there was. He became an anger and hate fetishist. She didn’t turn right wing, but I had a friend who went on disability and went “chronically online” as they now put it. Turned into an angry person who bickered about everything she could find online. She even went to the comment sections on blogs she had no interest in to give people a piece of her mind.

Unlikely you will talk him out of his bullshit. Sounds more like an acquaintance than a close friend. Drop him from your life.
