Republicans were so beside themselves that a black man was successfully running the country without constant drama, or any wild scandals as had been the norm for some time, that they were desperate to make a scandal out of anything. anything. These people were STARVING to get Obama on something. Tan suit. Dijon Mustard. Terrorist fist bump. They tried really hard to make a scandal about Obama showing his big dick to a bunch of people on the plane because he spread his legs slightly when he was sitting or something, ffs. But the most ridiculous thing about this is that republicans didnt lose ALL credibility with these shenanigans. Instead, it paved the way for the Tea Party, and ultimately Trumpism. Their minds were so broken by Obama, that they just threw a tantrum harder and harder until they got their way and reminded us that a president is in fact supposed to be deeply corrupt, criminal, rapey, and obviously Obama was doing it wrong.

Thats just patently BS man. Poor people who live paycheck to paycheck experience way more hardship than upper middle class folks. Poor people are under constant anxiety of figuring out how to pay their bills and survive month to month without ending up homeless. Beater Car breaks down? Fucked. Medical problem comes up? Fucked. Appliances break? Fucked. People in this situation are constantly trying to figure out how to make ends meet and usually have to make shitty decisions to get by. Like maybe Ill just drop car insurance for a few months to cover these other bills and HOPE I dont get pulled over, kind of decisions. These are the kind of people who forego health insurance and just cross their fingers that no one in their household will need it in the imminent future. All of that stress and anxiety has an impact on everyone in the household, constantly. Meanwhile upper middle class people dont even worry about their bills, assuming they are managing their funds even just semi-responsibly. These folks dont have to forego essentials to make ends meet, arent under constant pressure to keep food on the table and a roof over everyones head. Their struggles include do we want to go to Disneyland this year for vacation or maybe an all-inclusive resort?, or should I get the platinum package on a brand new F350 or just stick to the basics and have extra playing around with money? Yeah sure, they have some struggles but to suggest they are just different but equal, is asinine.

I want to believe that these people cant possibly exist but unfortunately I know gay people in real life that support Trump. They still support him to this day as far as I know.

Yeah this survey is garbage. He wouldnt lose any voters. 47% would celebrate it. The other 53% would just claim its fake news in spite of all the evidence and with zero counter evidence, and continue supporting him.

alien
I much prefer Aliens to Alien, and Ill detail why. Firstly, I find the character growth of Ripleys character to be extremely well executed and rewarding in Aliens. She goes from a sole survivor struggling against a singular foe to a knowledgeable, prepared badass who holds her own with and even outdoes seasoned military soldiers, and its done in a way thats believable and inspiring, making Aliens Ripley one of the most grounded and badass heroines in cinema, imo. Secondly, the expanded Alien lore. The aliens are back much bigger and better, with much greater numbers, and a new sub species that is introduced masterfully, with a fantastic creature design to boot. The queen is alluded to but not seen until near the end and yet is still established as a worthy nemesis to Ripley, especially with the added layer of her fight to save Newt, a character Ripley has formed a mother/daughter bond with while coping with the loss of her own daughter that she tragically outlived due to the sci-fi nature of the story and her hibernation. Lastly Aliens is packed full of memorable, complex characters. Ripley, Newt, Hicks, Vasquez, Bishop, Hudson, and a few more all add to an amazing cast and help elevate the story and the stakes. And now Im going to say something about the first movie. I have a lot of respect for Alien – its a masterclass in horror. Its not fair at all for me to levy this criticism about it, but it still needs to be said. Alien did such a wonderful job at horror that it was copied ad infinitum, and to be quite honest it feels diluted as a result; there are many other good horror movies that successfully copied the horror formula of Alien. And while great, I feel its a little more straightforward than the sequel, doesnt have as many interesting characters, doesnt have as much rewarding character growth, and just doesnt offer quite as much as Aliens. I often find showing people new to the franchise Aliens to be a funner experience than Alien. When new viewers watch Alien with me, they react like theyve seen a hundred other horror movies that go through the same story beats. When they watch Aliens, theres a lot more interest and discussion to be had, because it does more and hasnt been copied successfully to the same degree.

Its hard to fathom we still have more than 3 years to go, at minimum. All the bullshit, lying, and excuses we will have to endure as this imbecile wrecks the economy and personally profits off of taxpayers is insane.
