I know, its amazing when people keep saying Trump cant or wont be able to do this or that. Congress is under Trumps control. There will be no check or balances here. The same is true of the Supreme Court. Trump has carte blanch to do – whatever the fuck he wants. And hes extending that same power to rich, un-lected, un-vetted individuals like Elon Musk. Also, anyone who commits any crimes for Trump, will get a pardon for doing so, and theres similarly no check on that power. Scary times. Though I will say the pardon power has been an issue forever, weve just been lucky that no previous president has really decided to abuse it to the insane degree Trump has and will continue to do, but the option was always there to be horrendously abused to give a free pass to your goons to commit crimes for you. Trump obviously sees no issue with doing that.

Theres nothing democrats were doing that Trump and his campaign didnt do 10X worse. Compared to Trump, Kamala ran a better campaign in every meaningful way. The democrats problem is they dont appeal to the lowest common denominator, low info voter, with a relentless spewing of fear and lies. No rational person can objectively look at the two sides and think Trump is better, or that they are even the same. The electorate has to take responsibility for failing the easiest political iq test in any living persons memory.

My guy, Mitch McTurtle was able to do that because we didnt have a fascist president doing fascist things and actually tried to accomplish things through congress like the government is supposed to run and of course he abused the fuck out of good faith normal processes. All of this shit Trump is doing is happening through executive orders or just him literally commanding it to happen and the party controlling congress (GOP) sees no reason to intervene. They watch now as Trump tears down all of our institutions, destroy education, destroys healthcare, purges the government, and threatens war/annexation on our allies and they cheer it because the alternative is to self-reflect and admit they have wasted their lives supporting and helping to install a fascist Russian puppet intent on destroying the America they falsely claimed to love and defend. In the end, they are going to kill America, replace it with the Republic of Gilead, and convince themselves that this was for the best somehow.
