This is what really upsets me. Theres no cleaning this up in any reasonable timeframe. The damage this administration is doing will cause long lasting, justified resentment; because why would anyone trust a government that can, in the course of one election go from reasonable status quo to outright fascistic, racist, sexist, garbage trolling at the highest levels of government? One administration honors your sacrifice and work, while the next shits all over you, your identity, your sacrifice, etc. What a pathetic disgrace.

What people dont seem to understand is that Trump is just spinning a narrative because he wants to annex Canada, period. Theres no actual rationale to it that has anything to do with trade deficits. I promise you, if the numbers were inverted, and Canada was buying 20% more, Trump would make up some bullshit narrative about how they take too much from America and are draining our resources and therefore need to be absorbed. If the numbers were exactly equal, he would spin some other narrative about how it doesnt make sense due to the population difference yada yada. It doesnt matter what the trade numbers are. Trump just wants us busy arguing about how he doesnt understand trade or trade deficits while he moves forward with his plan to annex Canada. He would be doing this no matter what because in the end, this has NOTHING to do with trade and is about Trump wanting to imperialistically expand American territory and control as his legacy. He will make up any pretense to justify it, no matter how nonsensical the premise is. He knows half of America is too dumb and too cultish to question it anyways.
