Honestly the game just has fantastic writing, dialogue, and emotion. But you just cant expect that same level from a tv show. A game allows you to take as much time as you want; you spend a lot more time exploring and searching every nook and cranny of every area, and to make what would normally be a tedious undertaking interesting, theres so many small moments peppered in everywhere of Joel and Ellies relationship growing, or even just the characters talking to themselves. They all give you insight into their personalities, their emotions, and their relationships with others, taking place over tens of hours, and its done so well. A tv show just doesnt have the time to do that for you. In some ways, the show feels slightly rushed to me, and I do think they could have taken a little more time with some of the story beats. But even so, it would never match up to the game experience. I still enjoy the show for what it is and appreciate its existence.

Think of all the time the judges and lawyers would have to spend doing their jobs no, much easier to just send people straight to foreign concentration camps with no questions asked, thank you. It is surreal that this is what this country has voted for and supports.

It was especially prevalent, specifically with MAGA types, to claim they had already had Covid months before it was said to have first appeared. I talk to a lot of them in my line of work and I couldnt go a day in 2020 without one saying Im certain I had Covid back in June/July/August etc I just assumed they were dumbasses who conflated having a cough with having Covid, but who knows. Maybe it did originate in the US.

At this point impeachment is just a red herring, its there to make us think consequences are possible, when clearly they arent. I doubt we will ever see a president successfully removed from office through impeachment in anyones lifetime. Its never happened in history, and it will never happen now in hyper-political modern times. Its just performative nonsense. These modern problems require modern solutions.

The stock market is divorced from reality. Anyone who is paying any attention at all knows that. The stock market was once a respectable casino of traditional gambling, and now it has been turned into a pump and dump bonanza where everything trades like a shitcoin, economic fundamentals dont matter, and vibes drive everything. Anyways, back on planet Earth we are about to see empty shelves, mass layoffs, and increased prices of a broad range of goods. No one will give a shit what numbers the stock market is posting when they are out of jobs, unable to afford basic goods, etc.
