I think she would be fine if the writing was better tbh. The writing and dialogue just has her coming across as incompetent, and childish/immature. Its really like watching part 1 Ellie trying to do what part 2 Ellie does, and it doesnt work. Part 2 Ellie obviously grew up a bit, and is a pretty apt survivor and killer. S2 Ellie just isnt that. Theres a lack of competence, maturity, and frankly rage and thats all attributable to the writing changes. Its possible that she would fail to portray part 2 Ellie if the writing werent so flawed, but its impossible to know that, and I dont see issues with her acting ability. Dina and Jesse are both written well and come off – again – as more mature, more competent, and more serious than Ellie, which is why they look better in contrast to her character.

You will look back on this not as lost time or a waste, but part of your history of gaining relationship experience. We almost all have bad relationships in our past that helped show us what not to accept from prospective future partners.

What we did to the native Indians was pretty fucking abysmal. Now we give Indians sovereign land, rights, money, etc. If you think Israels treatment of Palestinians is anywhere remotely close to comparable of US treatment of Indians, you need to do some actual research on the subject before spouting off brain dead takes like this. If we were treating Natives today like Israel does the Palestinians, they WOULD be saying from the Pacific to the Atlantic, the natives lands will be free.

We are talking about how he handled the pandemic, since that is directly relevant. Again I will reiterate; presidents are expected to manage crises that happens through no fault of their own. That does not absolve them of the responsibility to take those crises seriously and do their absolute best to mitigate them. The fact you refuse to agree with this very simple and obvious premise reveals your intellectual dishonesty. Try being honest yourself; did Trump handle the pandemic the way we should expect the president to? Yes or no?
