This is the future. Honestly crazy scary. Its bad enough all the misinformation that is widely spread on the internet. But just look at how google tries to be helpful by offering up an AI response to every inquiry now. Soon, it will just be the norm that people will get most of their info from AI. AI under the control of rich billionaires, which will say what the billionaire class wants them to say. They will sound legit, and reference non-existent studies to bolster their claims. Facts and evidence dont really stand a chance in this forming modern age.

You can refer to my previous comments addressing that, its a waste of time to go in circles and rehash whats already been covered. Trump is lying, period. You choose to take issue with random nobodies who, rightfully, call out his BS. When confronted with Trumps lying behavior, you resort to both sides type arguments and essentially give Trump a pass, and when youre confronted on that terrible logic you backpedal and pretend to see the nuance in judging Trumps bad actions, only to circle back to your original refrain that Trump isnt lying. The only person you are fooling, is yourself. Wake up. Youre capable of acknowledging that Trump lies and does bad things, and isnt the best choice for America as a leader or politician. You should reflect on if it makes more sense to get bent out of shape over random commenters trying to hold Trump accountable for his bullshit, or if it makes more sense to criticize the POTUS for his blatant bullshit. Directly and without trying to provide cover by saying basically all politicians do what Trump does.

And yet I have explained thoroughly how Trumps statement on Europe is a lie and purposefully misleading. It is Trump who isnt pro-fact at all. Which bothers you more; that random people on Reddit are anti-Trump, or that the President of the United States spends his time lying and misleading the American people on Twitter/X?

Let me guess; then later on Israel bombs Irans facilities, goes to war, and Trump backs Israel and gets his war with Iran.

Your response to Trump clearly lying here is, Basically, every politician does it And that Trump isnt unique. But yet you acknowledge now that not all politicians are bad. So then I think we can agree its ok to criticize Trump without grouping in basically every politician, right? Its ok to acknowledge that Trump is doing something wrong and that in fact, it isnt something that basically every politician does and that there are better people who could be doing a better job of governing our nation. Right?

You are an eloquent and intelligent individual. I dont understand the people not understanding what youve laid out. Anyways, seems pretty straightforward, your ex-roommate is an immature weasel trying to worm out of their obligations.

That is what follows logically from your premise. If every time Trump is called out for doing something bad, the only reaction you can muster is well, all politicians are bad you are then justifying the behavior, allowing it to continue, and failing to recognize that no, all politicians are not as bad as Trump. You are implicitly saying it doesnt matter because they are all the same. If they are all the same, then what I said is true; nothing matters. If it wasnt Trump lying to us now, itd be someone else lying to us and the result wouldnt be different. Unless you believe otherwise? Which is it; are all politicians equally bad? Or is perhaps Trump demonstrably worse and is in fact different and unique in many ways? If you cant bring yourself to criticize Trumps lies, crimes, and bad acts without also grouping in all other politicians as being equally guilty at the same time, how can you make the case that presidents and other politicians are in fact different from each other and can lead to differing outcomes, some better than others?

AI becomes much scarier when you stop assuming it will autonomously decide to harm you, and instead assume that the billionaires/corporations in charge of what the AIs do will use it to harm you.
