One thing Im sure about; Trump wont be needing any votes in 2028. Hell either have successfully installed himself as permanent God Emperor, or SC wises up and prevents his illegal run. Or we get really lucky and cholesterol does its job.

This is the laziest and dumbest take in all of politics. You may as well be arguing that all presidents and their administrations are exactly the same, no differences at all, and that elections make no difference, whos in charge of what agencies makes no difference, elections make no difference, and that nothing is impacted by anything. When you think like that, you just convince yourself that nothing can be changed and we have no power to change anything. Its demonstrably wrong, of course, but when thats your starting point in politics no one is going to convince you otherwise. Its up to you alone to realize thats not the way it is.

I dont expect China to strike the US. But it may well be time for them to take over Taiwan. Trump wont do shit about it except bluster and chicken out. TACO.

No one has done more to normalize lying to the American people than Trump. Its a bit of a cop out to concede that Trump is just doing what allegedly all politicians do. Notice, by contrast, that Biden never tried to bully the Fed, he never whined when the rates went up, he allowed Trumps nominee – Powell, to operate independently and take us to a soft landing which many economists were skeptical was even possible. Im not saying Biden was a paragon or never lied, but the difference between the two in regards to lying, misrepresenting, and trying to bully independent government agencies isnt even remotely comparable. Trump supporters dont hold Trump, or the GOP, to any standards whatsoever which allows the rampant lying to continue unabated.

I would think its when most people are most comfortable that resistance becomes hardest. When just simply living is a struggle, is the best time for revolution.

Is a lie by omission a lie or not? I understand that the context revolving around this topic is complex and overwhelming for you, but Im trying to help you understand why the mean smelly libs jump all over Trump for this crap. Its not simply because he said 9 rather than 8. Thats silly. Its because hes completely misrepresenting the subject on purpose in order to mislead people. He also just doesnt understand or respect the necessity for interest rates, and the necessity for an independent fed to do its job uninhibited by political pressure. Additionally, since when does Trump give a flying fuck what the EU does? Suppose the EU has instead raised rates 9 times over the recent time period; you think hed be advocating for the US to raise rates and follow in their steps then? Absolutely not. The left sees through Trumps BS. Maybe one day you will, too.

Trump doesnt believe theres any valid justification to criticize him ever. Anyone who does so, regardless of what they are upset about, are suffering from TDS.

I mean the info is quite relevant to what you are choosing to discuss. Hes lying because hes leaving out that the US has lowered rates 8 times in the same time period since 2016. And even that doesnt hardly begin to tell the whole story. Its highly reductive thinking, and its absolutely a lie by omission. Furthermore, if the economy were really BOOMING like Trump repeatedly claims, that would mean right now would be a terrible time to lower rates. If anything, the fed should think about raising them.
