Your argument is right out of the KGB playbook. You are pretending that seeking refuge under the law is a crime. And the MAGA knuckle draggers agree with you. Due process is guaranteed to EVERYONE. Even the scum that attacked the capital on January 6th received due process. Cops hate due process because it might protect an innocent person from being wrongly jailed or killed.
