Depends on the use case tbh. I have both and am really impressed the Droptine for the value, its a good rimfire scope with higher magnification than the similar price tier Vortex which has better glass. My Droptine was on my 10/22 for years until I bought a RAR where it now rides, since its better precision. Ive got the Diamondback on my 10/22 and the Crossfire on my Henry Frontier. Its hard say which is better, really depends on what you want to do w it but the Diamondback does cost more and is fantastic.

Yeah I almost considered doing what you did, buying FAs metal housing but thought to talk to them and save some money. Hows it run now? Ill reply to this once mine is returned and tested to let u know if they fixed the same issue.

Ive had one since 2020 and its been mostly fun but sometimes hit or miss. I only this year learned/realized the hammer has been the cause of bolt drag causing ftf. The profile of the hammer was not perfect and sometimes made the bolt stick. Now my model is the BFSIII 22-C1 and the EZ may have already fixed the issue. After a number of emails and calls w FA CS went ahead sent them my trigger package to assess the issue. I filed a warranty claim, I paid the shipping there and agreed to what seems kind of d of sketchy warranty terms. The warranty repair turnaround is 4-6 weeks. Spoke with them a few days ago (around 5 weeks) and they said it ran fine on their firearms they tested it with but the still replaced my hammer with one that should run better(likely smaller profile) and another part, they said something like the extractor but I may have gotten that wrong. I can report back once I receive and test it out. Im so far happy with their CS, I wasnt expecting great service and if its actually fixed then Franklin Armory gets praise by me.

Which trigger package do you have? I have the BFS-III 22-C1 which I’ve had installed since 2020, after years of frustration and replacing many other internals I learned the likely culprit is the FA hammer dragging against the bolt causing jams and ftf. After a week of pics and chatting with FA’s CS and trying a few things (which didn’t work) I sent the trigger package back with an RMA. It took 5 weeks, spoke with them last week and apparently they fixed it (replacing the hammer and extractor). I should receive it by this weekend and can report back whether it’s fixed. One thing they had me try after asking about my buffer pin was to replace the upgraded one with factory pin it came with. This kind of helped but still had issues. Good luck OP.

Hey just got the trigger back from FA and now it’s working flawlessly. There’s no drag whatsoever when charging the bolt, which I could feel before. I’ve only done on mag dump but I’m confident it’s all good now.

Its surprisingly absolutely usable. I thought I needed a lower one but the bottom half of sight pic opens the red dot. Once you look there it takes up the entire sight window. Its crazy Ive got a binary trigger on it, when its folded and suppressor is off its only 11 inches long. It fits Ina small bag, way tighter than a takedown
