Which leaves the question of why we got, what we got. TS isn’t an idiot or untalented. Neither are most writers. Considering the cost of the show, hiring a history professor as a consultant wouldn’t have cost a lot either.

Only because Banner is softening a bit, reflecting on what he is about to do ( and doing it anyway ) instead of being a screaming idiot who think because he wants something that he is entitled to it. I don’t think he is going to back out. He and his wife made it clear they have been stepped on so they are going to get what they can however they can grab it. If TS reversed that it would spoil even more of the story than he has already spoiled.
