There is a BDSM thing of getting pleasure from being choked and choking others. The woman who died had something tied around her neck, but for too long, so she died. That was Whitfield tied something around the living sex worker’s neck and told her he would tell her how to do it right.

Normally I would think so. All she has to do is fast for a few days while sitting tight on the train, and then send a telegram for the Duttons to come get her. Given the show runners love of disappointing the audience I am suspicious that something will happen to her between arriving in Billings and getting to the ranch.

Most people can drink a lot of water and fast for a few days. Once she is at Billings she might be able to persuade someone to give her enough money for a telegram/phone call to that post office by the Duttons. On that point the writers have NOT made it clear if the Duttons know of her existence. In any reality they would be.

The one that dies could be a nurse or WASP. WASP = Women Airfoce Service Pilot, not “White Anglo Saxon Protestant” 🙂 Yes, that is another way out of the Dutton name/heritage issue aside from killing them off in WWII.

I kind of dismissed the first complaints about that when I first read them here, but while watching the show I would notice and think “geeze they are right. every episode a woman does get battered or humiliated in some way:.

As they shouldnt. Historically and present it is the inverse. Even with evidence women assault victims are rarely believed and the legal system does things to sabotage them getting justice.
