Oh, I thought OP was talking about the latest one published. That’s awesome to know, I’ve probably read half of them through my library / Libby. Stoked to read them all.

I liked Shroud much more than Alien Clay, I liked it more than Cage of Souls as well.

Sounds like Bear Head trilogy is the best next step for you OP, with maybe a few novellas tossed in; Ogres, Elder Race and Saturation Point come to mind. Also Shroud and Cage of Souls are both fantastic stand alone novels.

Finish it, then look at Shroud and Dogs of War trilogy. The Final Architecture is also really good but based on what you wrote I think Shroud will really tickle your fancy.

I just finished it yesterday and I was really impressed with all of it. I agree it was a slow start but that’s because as the reader it was hard for me to sort out what was going on until over 1/3 of the way through the book. Many of AT’s books are as good or better on the reread and this is one I look forward to reading again. This year I’ve been saving money by using the library for my reads but this one stands out as a book to keep on the shelves for when I’m ready to dive in again. Loved it.
