Probably the 1960s. A lot of shows were about silly things so people could distract themselves from the Vietnam war and the political upheavals at home in the U.S..

I’m not confident. Which is why I’m going to a No Kings Rally on Saturday. I’m afraid. But I’m going to protest. I refuse to turn away. I could probably get away with doing nothing. I’m a 53 year old white, straight, cis, het, Navy vet, professional, man. I’ve won the genetic lottery and been lucky on top of that. So yeah. I could probably survive by doing nothing. And I might end up regretting this from the inside of a concentration camp. But I will not stand by uncounted.
