I actually thought further on this while I took a shit. Upon further reflection, I do believe in some rehabilitation. The gang member who got imitated young/forced into it. People making a wrong split second choice. I agree with you on those forms of violence. But I still draw the line at people who thru their own actions look to be inherently violent. This person found glee in chasing down and killing an innocent creature. They cannot be fixed. They find pleasure in it. Maybe thats the difference. But yes, your violent gang member who is got in a system of either performing for a gang or being killed by them or something of the sort, desperate to feed their family, I do believe given the choice and rehabilitation, these types of violent offenders can be changed.

Oh I get the idea of rehabilitation, I just dont agree with it for violent offenders. Why should society have to roll that die? Maybe youll see things different if you or someone you love is hurt by a reoffender.

How low is your bar set that someone that kills animals for fun, in a horrible horrible manner, gets a second chance? Thats who they are. Thats not changing. They may not do it again, but that is who they are. I do agree most criminals deserve second chances but not violent criminals. Its no one elses problem to have to find out what else these people are capable of. You steal something, yea you can be changed, you hurt someone or an animal in a violent crime way, that is who you are.

Fuck animal abusers and the people who enable them. Couldnt give less of a fuck and people who hurt animals DO hurt people. Its just a matter of when.
