Because the hostages were never a priority for Israels government. Finance Minster Bezalel Smotrich said Monday that bringing the hostages back from Gaza was not the most important goal of the government, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that defeating Israels enemies is more important than securing the release of the remaining hostages in Gaza. Its about using the hostages to level Gaza and occupy the land. Its happening on the West Bank as well
