The people in power now want the destruction of blacks, Mexicans, Asians, liberals, gays, and trans. And want to subjugate and own women. But yes, lets focus purely on trans people being allowed in sports first before we worry about the rest, rather than the other way around. Makes sense.

Its certainly more likely that Newsom would stand up to Netanyahu than Trump or any other GOP bootlicker would. Why do you keep dodging the comparisons to what the fascists are doing now? You might be right that on some issues, Newsom would be no different. But answer these questions honestly, Do you think Newsom would suspend due process? Do you think Newsom would direct Ice to anonymously kidnap people off the streets to be sent to a foreign torture prison never to be seen again? Do you think Newsom would create and use an alligator concentration camp? Do you think Newsom would deploy US marines against American protestors? Do you think Newsom would abolish the Department of Education? And so on. And then ask yourself if it makes sense to support someone who wouldnt do those things over someone that would? You are advocating for severe regression if you cant get the perfect amount of progressiveness. You are as selfish and childish as they come.

Absolutely. 100%, and I hope someone left of Newsom wins it. But I also hope that when that persons flaws are amplified and bad actors start trying to whip up the leftist infighting, that we manage to rise above it and band together. A leftist candidate will need moderates support, a moderate candidate will need leftist support. We can keep working on moving things further to the left over time if it doesnt work out this election, but at the end of the day Trump and the rest of the GOP fascists have to go one way or another.

Thats equal to or worse than all the bullshit Trump is doing; sending people never convicted of crimes to foreign torture camps to serve life sentences? Stripping millions of healthcare and other social safety nets that help keep Americans out of poverty? Suspending due process? Youre the ignorant one, you sound ridiculous and it is actually people like you that have led to us being ruled over by people like Trump. I dont agree with Newsom on this issue, but to equate it to genocide is completely asinine. Whoever the nominee becomes, youre sure to find some silly issue you equate to murder to take the easy way out and let Nazi scum continue their assault on all peoples rights.

You’re doing it again. The point of the post is to highlight Newsom would be a terrible candidate. Which, to be clear, Im not even disputing that. You’re still primarily blaming left-leaning voters when numerically and objectively it was the “middle ground” voters and “sensible republicans” that didn’t turn out for the Biden/Harris campaign At no point did I assign blame at all. You need to work on your reading comprehension. Im advising caution against falling for purity test nonsense that gets amplified during elections to create infighting, which is objectively a thing that happens. I never claimed it was the sole or even primary reason why a candidate lost, I said it hurts us, which is again, objectively true. Leftists holding out have never been the reason for a DNC loss, they are not the reason they failed to win a single swing state, and there’s no delusion you can conjure up to change that mathematic fact. The fact that you seem to think a DNC loss can only be chalked up to a single reason, and not the accumulation of a multitude of reasons, is laughable and wholly inept. It is overwhelmingly on them, it’s their job to drive people to vote for them, Then I guess we know exactly who to blame for Sanders losing to Hillary, dont we? Guess youre bitching to the wrong people about why milquetoast candidates keep winning the primaries instead of the true, pure leftists. We are 3 years out from the next election, now IS the time to loudly voice displeasure with milquetoast democrats talking about trying to be the next candidate by throwing trans people under the bus.
