The term “Baby Boomer” was coined by demographers, not entertainment “journalists” to refer to any American born between 1946 – 1964. That is a very diverse group of people from all walks of life. You can’t rationally make generalizations about a group that diverse. Redditors know this and understand this. However, redditors like to vilify people and dog pile on people for their entertainment. So instead of blaming the 1% where blame is due, they engage in bigotry with all of the anti-Boomer bullshit. Ageism is an ironic form of bigotry. Nobody is going to change from being a Caucasian person to a POC. However, given some luck most people will become old. All the shit they talk about older people will eventually become beliefs they have about themselves that they will suffer from until they get over those ageist beliefs. If they can.
