I remember that joy. I spent a long weekend tearing out the carpet. Wife and kids were visiting her parents. She was pretty impressed. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pretty good.

Are their tradesmen who maintain the roofs, or does the homeowner just throw more on when needed?

This is amazing. I believe you, but it is such a foreign idea to me that I struggle with it. I’ve wanted to visit Denmark for decades. I hope I can someday. I would love to see a thatch roofed home in the modern day.
