Its bad if you dont have any experience or an impressive project/github. Start applying to jobs now. Youve basically got a year to find something before you graduate. Hell, Ive been applying to co-ops for this fall the past few weeks.

Yea, there isn’t enough info here to determine anything. Consenting age over there was 13 until 2023 (16 now) so unless anyone commenting has spent a significant amount of time there, nobody knows wtf is normal for Japan (as we’re all, most likely, westerners). The real lesson here is to never give out personal contact info at work all willy nilly.
