My strategy was always to main the plasma cutter since it works for like 90% of enemies, and always go for a leg first since they are easy to aim for and slow the fuckers down. Once you blow off a leg then you take out an arm or two and its dead. Once you get good at this strategy it can kinda trivialize most of the game though

Heres hoping for Dead Space 2 remake. 1 and 2 are pretty much peak sci-fi survival horror if you ask me. Even as a hardcore resident evil fan, its hard to think of any other two horror games I got as much joy out of than DS 1/2

It was definitely one of the better qualities of the game. And fitting, Isaac with his experience both fighting necromorphs and being an engineer, should be capable of crafting interesting weapons.
