Gotcha, well it was in reply to my comment so it seemed pointed at me. Believe me I would be thrilled to back Rashida if she were the nominee, I just don’t see it being a realistic hope / plan. And honestly folks feeling defeated and negative makes sense, this is exactly what the powers that be want. We’re mid-suffering and have been beaten down, life is really hard right now for many of us. Obviously we are aligned, saw your comment on the Corey Booker thread. Our only hope is someone that not only rallies the support of the left but brings people from both sides under the tent like Bernie did in 2016. We have a lot of work ahead. As of now it’s not looking good as the left so far has put up no fight, has bent over and taken the abuse rather than calling us forth to General Strike and close the country down. They’ve not put forward a cohesive vision, let alone a plan to bring us through this. Feeling super fucked over rn. I’d rather fight than wallow in defeat, yet here we are.

The Democratic party is corrupt and absolutely complicit in the fascism gripping our country by not putting forward candidates that offer true change and social support systems that we deserve and are wanting. We are doomed until then and the Dems are equally corrupt and complicit. I’ve never heard the phrase “purity test” except by the corrupt Democrats pushing it. Fuck them.

We can fucking do better. If they put forward another genocide complicit candidate then we destined to lose AGAIN. I voted Kamala last election and I was smug and took joy in leopards eating faces of those in Michigan and other Muslim Americans who sat that election out. I blamed them in the same consideration you’re espousing. I won’t do it again, they were right. If the DNC pushes another genocide complicit candidate we are doomed again. It’s literally the definition of insanity to keep doing the same thing and expect or hope for different results. We can do better or we can burn.

I quit that sub after Kamala’s loss and have no regrets, the DNC is complicit in the fascism we are in thrall of and the genocide of Palestine. We have 3 years to find a candidate that unites the left, it won’t be Gavin, Corey, Jasmine or Prisker or any fucking tool of AIPAC. Wake the fuck up DNC.

That’s a good take so far and not yet good enough. Where was this stance until the blatant genocide? He’s still complicit and it’s now too little way too late. Denounce AIPAC and commit to abolish Citizen’s United and I would consider it. Until then no fucking way.

I voted for Kamala and the first few months of this year took inner pleasure when I saw leopards eating faces of the folks who refused to vote for Kamala. Then I woke up and now refuse to support any AIPAC candidate whatsoever. The establishment has 3 fucking years to sort out who to put forward that’ll unite the left and tryna shame people by calling purity tests will NOT work. We’ll be doomed to lose again. There’s still 2-3 years to find one that unites the party and can bring folks from the other side under the tent. As of now only AOC would get my enthusiasm and support. Fuck every AIPAC shill regardless of party, they will never allow the left to come back from where we’re at.
