Wouldn’t be surprising. Republicans have been strong supporters of rape for a century or more. They can’t seem to understand why society objects to rape. They use use the language of outrage, but they’re just making the noises. They don’t actually care about the victims. Look how quickly they reversed course on Epstein. In less than a month, their position on raping children has changed from “lockup everyone in the Epstein files” to “Trump was targeted by those 14 year old girls. And he did them a favor by fucking them.”
