No. Whoever told you that should stfu. Season 5 is good. Season 7 is good. 6 and 8 have their flaws but you still get some good Dexter moments. 8 is a rough season but one of the worst parts was the ending, and since the ending has now been expanded on and the story continues, it takes away some of the sting of it. Plus you need to know what happens to understand New Blood and Resurrection.

Stan Liddy got the jump on Dexter and knocked his ass out cold. Could have easily killed him right there if he wasnt trying to get a confession. He also couldnt physically overcome Little Chino (who is quite large, tbf). Point is, Dexter is not really OP and also makes some silly mistakes here and there and gets caught off guard. Hes good at H2H but its mostly due to the fact no one is expecting it from the lab geek blood splatter analyst and simply get caught off guard. Hes like the ultimate H2H sleeper Q-car. On equal footing most of those names would stand a fair chance in H2H vs Dexter. Jack Reacher, Michael Myers, and Jason Vorhees would fold Dexters clothing with Dexter still inside them.

Hell never let Dex go. Maybe in a specific moment if Dexter just saved his life as a good will gesture, but hell resume his hunt for Dexter after. I dont think hell ever stop, not after all the lies, death and pain Dexter has caused.

Its actually wild that Dexter thinks he can successfully hide his identity for a long period of time. Especially when he knows Bautista is in New York trying to track him down and clearly knows the truth about him. In Dexters mind, Bautista doesnt have enough hard evidence, but that doesnt mean he can just go around pretending hes someone else! I do think hes going to get caught in his lie by something like what you outlined here and I just know its going to feel dumb, because as good as this season has been, Dexter is being dumb about pretending to be Red. Theres no way it was going to work for very long.

I do think Leon holds the BHB in special regard. I believe thats why Lowell had such a reaction to learning Dexters identity even though just moments before he had completely accepted his fate and imminent death. But while Leon probably has great interest in the BHB, doubtful that would want him hunting other members of the group. So while he might be Leons White Whale or something similar, hes still going to view him as a threat.

Still worth finishing. S6 is not great compared to the other seasons, but its still Dexter. Season 7 is pretty good. S8 is not great either. I would say its a GoT level disaster BUT the ending is being redeemed by the ongoing continuation so that helps.

Doubtful Prater is his brother otherwise he would have been part of the gathering since the beginning? And he wouldnt have been so confused about someone finding his trophies and leaving the invitation? But his brother could still be a major element in the story. It could be one of the other characters, or someone who come into play later in the season.

Yeah this would be good. However I have a strong feeling its going to go with a sacrificial ending. Dexter will probably sacrifice himself to save Harrison at the end. After all the people he got killed and how hes ultimately fucked up everyone who was ever close to him, the one thing he truly wants is to be a good father. But hes fucked that up too and already put Harrison through so much, and surely Harrison will endure even more as the show progresses. In the end, the only way Dexter will feel like hes able to atone and be a better father, is to save Harrison in some final confrontation with a killer or the police etc by getting himself killed. Preventing Harrisons death, or his arrest by taking the fall and dying removing himself from the possibility of ruining any more lives. But this would feel a bit cliche and predictable. The best endings are when they do something you didnt even know you needed to see. I hope they surprise us in a good wayheres to hoping.

Batista approached Quinn, Quinn, Im sorry man, Ive been keeping this from you. Quinn responds, What is it, man? Its about Dexter. I didnt know how to tell you yet, I wanted to be sure. But hes alive, Quinn. And I thinkI have reason to believe hes the Bay. Harbour. Butcher. Quinn Smirks. What the fuck, Quinn? You think this is fucking funny? I just told you Dexter is alive and I have reason to believe hes a serial killer. Sorry Batista, its justI could have fucking told you that.

It will probably be good since it will be going into a new season. The real test will be final episode of season 3.
