What purpose do those indentations serve? Do they make it harder to clean the knife?

my kitchen is not air conditioned, the ac is only in my bedroom and the heat index is expected to be 108f on Monday I lived in a place like that. Luckily my place was rectangular, one doorway behind another. Buy a tall standup adjustable floor fan. Put it in the doorway of your bedroom so you can blow cooler air into the rest of your place. It sounds nuts, but it helps: close your windows, and close your drapes. That will help your place to heat up less.

Great Video! ( Not to take away from the video ) Summary: To make 1 month of EBT last 2 months: Buy 2 months worth of: dried legumes rice frozen vegetables With the remaining funds buy: oatmeal ( breakfast ) potatoes small bags of onions ( buy 1 bag at a time to avoid spoilage ) olive oil garlic lemon or lime juice – not from concentrate – for vitamin C. Mix a spoon into water for sweet drink cravings tortillas canned tomatoes pepper, salt, cinnamon, cumin, red pepper ( bagged spices are cheaper ) bouillon cubes sugar The author claims that with the above and appropriate recipes, not only will you get fed, but have some variety to keep yourself sane. A curry a week, and some Meso-American food can be made with the ingredients above. The author was wrong about potatoes not having much nutrition. Check out cronometer.com. Dry roasted sunflower seeds are cheap, as well as am amazing source of vitamin E, zinc, and selenium. If I were in that situation I would have found a way to include some in my survival budget. Also, broccoli has a decent amount of vitamin c, so if I couldn’t afford fruit I would have added broccoli into my frozen vegetable selections. The video is really good, please don’t let my summary keep you from watching it.

Back in the day before there were many faux animal products or even vegan cookbooks veganizing was a big thing. Now a lost art, though still warranted for some excellent recipes.

I guess I am a vegan freak as I have never been impressed by Trader Joe’s vegan offerings. If it wasn’t for the reasonably priced tempeh I likely would not go there. When I do go there I like to get their chilli and lentil soup. Canned soup is so overpriced these days. Trader Joe’s needs more varieties of soup that are vegan. I have had the grape leaves and I think I will get those again. Maybe I will try the ravioli having watched this video.

I did a web search on what the ingredients in Manwich are and I found this home recipe with higher quality ingredients that looks like it could be cheaper depending on your access to cheap ketchup. https://www.food.com/recipe/manwich-copycat-198485

You could give some of the beans to a food bank. Always in demand. Soups ( Maybe not in the northern hemisphere right now ha ha ). Fill your freezer with burgers? Do the same with bean burritos? Beans can also pair nicely with pasta.

lol I have a tendency to overload stews and pita. I’ll be cautious. 🙂
