Theres nothing wrong with my standards. Any president who displays the wanton disregard for a global pandemic as Trump did deserves to be blamed for the repercussions. Try holding Trump to a higher standard befitting that of a world leader, instead.

Same. Its almost like presidents are expected to manage crises that happens due to forces outside of their control, and how they respond to such challenges indicates how effective of a leader they are, and they should be judged on their performance. Dont you agree?

Here are some facts for you to acknowledge. What you repeatedly fail to understand is that Trumps grossly negligent incompetence in dealing with the pandemic lead to far greater excess deaths and economic consequences. You either believe that leadership doesnt matter, and that no matter who was president, the results would have been exactly the same. Or – leadership does matter, and could have resulted in less deaths, less jobs lost, etc, and if you believe the latter then you shouldnt be struggling to assign blame to Trump. Yet, you are determined to give Trump a pass anyways. So you must believe the former, which makes you an idiot.

Then you should start correctly assigning the blame for a poorly managed crises by the sitting president that oversaw it.
