My dad swore by the beetle spinner but I never had luck. Haven’t tried in years though.

Seems like you struck a nerve in these comments, I guess it’s to be expected that many anglers lean right, but it is what it is. I go to the Outdoorsman here in Indiana and it’s pretty chill. No hats or tshirts that I’ve seen. Plus they’re the only place nearby that sells wax worms/beemoths.

Theyre good at deception. One time a Girl Scout came to my door selling cookies. She had thin mints, graham crunchy things, oatmeal raisins, and I decided on the graham crunch. So I asked her how much for a box? She said I need about tree fiddy. It was about that time I noticed this little Girl Scout was actually an 8 story tall crustacean from the Paleozoic era.

I think it’s mostly because people are trashy. Nearly every place I go unless it’s a state park with people who’s job it is to clean up after people, there’s so much trash left behind by jackasses who can’t clean up after themselves. Empty bait boxes, bags, fishing line, broken bobbers, etc. So much crap. I always try to leave the area cleaner than how I found it but it’s so frustrating.

Yeah, I’ve always wanted to live out in the country so that’d be fine with me. As long as I’m close to water I’m good.
