FUMC downtown, UCC by TCU, and St. Paul’s near I-30 all seem semi-normal. I’ve only attended the first one, but I know a lot of people at the other two. They seem right-leaning but not MAGA-y, and the pastors stay out of the mud.

Thats basically who theyve been to most people that oppose them. Very Trump-y model. Just attack, give or take. I get it working in politics. Christianity? Not as much.

Well, this is weird fealty. That bishop should not have waded into politics, but all she said is “yo, have mercy on some marginalized people.” Jesus seemingly would be fine with that. But Trump is about kissing the ring and empowering hatred of the other, so now we’re like, straight up missing the point of the second half of the Bible…
