This brings up a lot of great points. I was thinking this morning about what “the mandate” even means. People here will say the mandate is for “change,” i.e. the whole “We are so back!” thing. And maybe it is. I viewed the mandate as people wanted stuff to be cheaper. Sometimes, we will bring up that people want a “new wave” of education, but usually here that means school choice and f*cking over public ed more. I think we are lying to each other about what is actually being voted on. Also agree FTW perpetually and purposefully pushes down turnout — May in off-years? WTF?
