Yea, they got way too carried away with these initiatives (some of which are absolutely performative) after George Floyd. They lost the plot on what matters to most people — it’s not culture war stuff. It’s money and living and feeling successful and feeling like things are looking up. I am not sure how Nate’s bill accomplishes that either, but the culture war consumes a lot of oxygen.
