Here in the US the Right (apparently like Poland) the US Right has its base that regardless of what they do (strip healthcare away, cuts emergency services like FEMA, and on and onthey will still vote Republican. Also, they have a whole media echo system funded by billionaire elites that tells their supporters what to think and define their opponents. Democrats.do not have that.

Imagine thinking Trump is going to break the status quo in any way that wont permanently benefit the far right fascists and corporate elites to continue their hold on power. Trump and Elon jumping up and down on stage were very clear about this. All the while they put things in place (Supreme Court, dismantling and weaken the administrative agencies, etc) to put progressive policies in place much more difficult to obtain.

And Im not saying democrats are perfect. But it is really frustrating that any discussion needs to have a disclaimer well this thing Republicans did is terrible buuuut the democrats should have done xyz. or back when they had some power, Yeah they passed a massive infrastructure bill, buuut it could have been better.

Id say that the midterm was related to Roe being overturned. We also need to be asking why the pendulum has shifted right. And dont discount how effective that larger twisted narrative is for the right.

Thats because Trump was POTUS and everyone was over his chaos at the time. Then, as these things are prone to do, the backlash began against the woke prosecutors releasing criminals and Democrats and weak Biden took all the blame.

And on the other side I dont think that the more progressive way has been effective either. The footage of college protests (thanks to the media narrative) and the previous backlash to the BLM protests led to the perception that democrats let their cities burn and overrun with illegal immigration and they allow criminals back on the streets. And Biden and Harris were weak and allowed it all to happen. Trump was voted in large part because he said he was law and order. Im do not agree with the narrative but this was certainly the perception by the media.
