Exactly my point.deflects from the person unilaterally making the decisions and has power onto the party voted out of power. There will be no genocide Don chants. No one will be protesting at his rallies. Zero consequences for Trump and republicans and they can sit back and watch the democrats argue about how its all their fault. The public agrees and Republicans still retain their anti war credentials even though Trump personally ramped up out involvement in the war and gave a more to Netanyahu than even Biden did

IMO the public did hold democrats accountable by voting both Biden and Harris out of office, and democrats lost the majority in Congress (and previously the Supreme Court). Biden personally was criticized by all sides as genocide Joe. As a result Trump was voted in being the no new wars candidate. Yet he will not pay the political price Biden and Harris did for completely abandoning one of his main campaign promises and getting our troops involved in another Middle East war, and I can guarantee you that the democrats will shoulder the blame.

Yup, the right wing echo chamber will give them the next thing to get outraged about and they will move on

But this is the cycle. Republicans mess up the economy and/or start wars and the public votes democrats to clean up the mess. Democrats start cleaning up the mess but voters get mad at them because they dont fix everything fast or perfect enough and end up blaming democrats for everything. Then Republicans get voted back in, smash everything the democrats were able to fix and make it harder for democrats to fix when back in power, public becomes unhappy again and repeat..

Of course they will and us democrats will fight amongst ourselves how the bill is really all our fault and republicans will yet again avoid any accountability for their terrible policies

So let me get this straight, you are arguing that Putin and Orban are not corrupt, not authoritarian and not right wing?

Ok_Bodybuilder800
I know enough that Putin and Orban are corrupt right wing autocrats, and Tucker gives them softball interviews and uses their talking points. Tucker is not a good faith actor. He clearly has an agendapromoting far right autocracies.

Tucker loves a right wing autocrat https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68255302.amp https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2023/09/tucker-carlson-putin-orban-propaganda/675380/

I have got to disagree with Tommy when it comes to Tucker. When talking about the substance of Carlsons interview with Putin, what Tommy fails to say is that the interview and reporting was a propaganda piece.
