Im what you would call a mainstream democrat and this was my message all the way back in 2016. You let republicans in power and they will destroy and set back any progressive policies. Then when democrats regain power again they have to rebuild rather than progress forward. And here we are a few weeks into the Trump administration and already the federal government apparatus to provide life saving foreign and domestic aid has been completely dismantled.

I dont even think its that. Its almost like theyve developed (Jon especially) a smug I know better than everyoneeven the establishment attitude and just look at these people not listening to me and my latest carefully crafted focus group and poll.

And yelling do something to the party they put out of power and lost the Supreme Court because of pretty much the same thing back in 2016. So many warnings about where this was heading, but good just had to be the enemy of great, and now the government is being run by the wealthiest man in the world who wasnt even elected. What a time to be alive.

Its so frustrating. They all mock and downplay any resistance and yet propose nothing except bland, neutral talking points and polls. I was trying to keep my own concerns in check and not react to every single thing. But Musk waltzing into the Treasury Department and messing with USAID has me very alarmed.

They won in a landslide specifically because of the backlash against the ACA. Ill also say its a far different media environment now. But I do agree that both Schumer and Jeffries are not good leaders.

You absolutely didnt listen to a word Harris said on the campaign trail. (Nothing against youmost just heard the buzz talking points as well.) She clearly said she wanted to be a president for all Americans and had policies to do just that. The other candidate called us liberals the enemy of the people.

It would have been a Harris Administration, and absolutely not. Nor would she have disbanded USAID entirely.
