I asked for proof that kids were transitioning without parental consent. Are you claiming that the democrats were going to put this activist group in a policy position? Maybe make them head of the NIH/CDC and give away surgeries to any kid that wanted one?

Heres the difference: its not Trump. It is an unpopular, unelected and unappointed billionaire with interns doing all this while old man Trump sits aside. I dont see the benefit of not saying anything while Musk entrenches himself into and dismantles our government.

This was my issue with the initial lets see how this goes. Were all for eliminating government waste attitude. It was clear from the beginning that the purpose of DOGE was dismantling government agencies and not rooting out waste fraud and abuse. And IMO it 1) allowed them to go unchecked like a wrecking ball 2) you are starting from way behind with any pushback, and it takes away the impact of your message of warning and gives them time to normalize all the unconstitutional things DOGE is doing

His base sees him talking about mass deportations, anti trans legislation, saying hes going to end the Russia war against Ukraine, etc, etc as talking about policy as reprehensible as it all is

Hell give billions in bailouts to the farmers like he did last time, or just not care. Its not like he needs their votes anymore. They will never blame him. It will be blamed on the government or sleepy Joe and the woke democrats. And even if they do have a fight, Elon is already so entrenched and already has access and control of so much data and government institutions no way is he packing DOGE up and going home. Its not going to happen.

I admire your optimism but I think they made their arrangement well before the election and both seem pretty well satisfied. Plus I think Trump is more than happy to have Elon do the really unpopular stuff, like taking food away from starving children in Sudan and soon make cuts to Social Security, so he doesnt get the blame.
