Okay I know this is a late entry to this epic conversation, replying to top comment for traction.. Seriously as child of the 70s I grew up in Columbus, we had the first cable in the country QubeTV and watched The Omen and The Exorcist way waaaay too many times, Ametiville Horror too. The Omen more than any.. What the actual FUCK were our parents thinking, like seriously what the fuck.

Fuck yeah he did. Both amazing but Fritz the Cat I’ve watched on acid repeatedly countless times, huge impact on who I became and am now.

I’ll tell ya what traumatized me as a kid, Gollum. The animated Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings, Gollum freaked the fuck out of me. My father would rub his hands and do the “my precious” voice and I was fucked.

None. Never heard of it. Other than Mr Jefferson. And Cliff. Pop culture sucked in 80s, sucks still.

Yeah there’s nothing wrong or inappropriate with it or any of the other titles mentioned. Don’t know what op’s particular problem or gripes are.

I was a teenager in the 80s, the music sucked, people sucked, high school sucked. By the 90s I was full on counterculture rebellion mode partying hard and fucking hard. Id trade me in the 90s for me in the 80s every time.
