If I understand what you are saying, please correct me if I’m wrong, Powell didn’t want to invade Iraq and knew that he was lying. Is that what you are saying?

Okay. So you don’t have evidence of threats. You have a certain level of admiration for him and his life overall. You don’t want him to have ended his career with dishonest and dishonorable behavior. To help with that, you say he was threatened. The simplest answer is correct more often than incorrect. The simple answer is that he knew he was lying, that he did so voluntarily, and was supportive of going to war.
